February Already? 17 months old

Brushing my teeth before school (she's a little obsessed with teeth brushing lately)

I have a paper towel roll..........

And I'm not afraid to use it...Attack!!!

Aren't I funny?

Zoe is 17 months old today and has now been a part of our family for 8 months. The time sure has flown. She is absolutely loving her new daycare to the point that she swishes Eric and I away when we come to pick her up. We have her in a Chinese language play/learning class on Saturdays which has been fun. Not sure she's getting much out of it, but we're happy she's able to hear her native language for at least an hour a week. We found out about the class from another adoptive family whose daughter is less than a week older than Zoe and we're grateful they didn't mind us crashing their party :) Zoe discovered the wonders of the toddler playground at the mall today. Our usually shy little girl was fearless wandering away from us and trying to climb up the slide. She didn't even seem to mind the "big kids" who kept crashing into her (now where were their parents?) Eric is a little bummed that tonight's big game won't be featuring the Colts again...but we're going to be rooting for the other Manning brother tonight. Go Giants! (yes, I know, they're going to get killed)

You've all probably read about the snow crisis going on in China right now. Some of the orphanages are in pretty dire circumstances. We're always thinking about the babies in China that don't yet have families and if you can help them out then visit www.halfthesky.com They are raising money to help assist the orphanages during this time (and always) through their Little Mouse Emergency Fund. Thanks!

I love that picture of Zoe attacking with the paper towel roll, it is funny that she has on the shirt that says Sweet.

She's one fierce girl with that paper towel roll! Too cute. The Chinese playgroup sounds interesting--I haven't found anything around here for toddlers. There's more when she gets a little older, but until then, it's just us.

I was going to leave the same comment that Karen left you. :) Sweet AND not afraid to use the roll! ;) Glad Zoe likes her hew daycare. What a blessing to have peace of mind knowing that your little girl is in good hands.

YEA for the Giants. We were cheering for them too!

Also, thanks for your comment about Hope feeling better soon. We're having a tough time, but hopefully the antibiotic will take effect soon and we'll finally be able to get some good sleep.

so much for your foresight about the Giants - it was such an exciting game and they deserved to win. Zoe is so cute in those pictures and it's great to hear that she loves her daycare so much - worth the wait, just like her. Can't believe she is 17 months and has been part of your family for 8 months. Would love to hear more about the Chinese play group. That was great that you added the half the sky link - they are really helping a lot of orphanages in addition to the 20 they are typically involved with. I heard that they have bought heaters and quilts for the orphanages - some of which have no heat and no windows!
